GINKGO CONCQUERS BELVAL

With its first centers located 2 Place de Paris and 16 Avenue de la Liberté in the Station District, Ginkgo Solutions Facilities has decided to set up a new business center in Belval. 

 

Thanks to CBRE Luxembourg's advice, Ginkgo has chosen to purchase the first floor of the Southlane Tower III building located Avenue du Swing. The purchased surface has a size of 1,150 sqm. The move will occur before the end of 2017 for an inauguration in January 2018.

Following a recent agreement between the current sharholders Luxembourg Capital Holding has officially filed its intention to take over 100% of the capital with the Luxembourg financial supervisory authorities.

SOUTHLANE TOWER III - Topping Out Ceremony

Work is progressing in Belval! On 8th July, Luxembourg Capital and Tralux celebrated the topping out of the Southlane Tower III  building. This event marks the end of major construction and is traditionally organised to thank the architects, engineers and workers involved in the project.

Southlane Tower III is a perfect example of a mixed use project combining 20 upscale residential units, 2500 sqm of modern and light office spaces as well as 1500 sqm of premium avenue shopping. 

 

BORDERS - Foundation Stone

The stakeholders involved in the project met this Thursday 30 June in order to celebrate the commencement of the work already started in April of this year. For the occasion, Ben Homan, Mayor of Schengen, Eric Lux and Gilles Bindels, Borders co- developers for Ikogest and Luxembourg Capital, Tanguy t'Serstevens, Country Manager of Delhaize Luxembourg and Tom Beiler, architect of the firm Beiler + François Architectes placed a commemorative plaque. Everyone expressed their enthusiasm regarding the future opening of the Borders shopping centre.

The plaque will be visible in the shopping centre after its opening in summer 2017.

 

Work begins on BORDERS

Work has now begun on the Borders shopping centre in Remerschen. The centre is strategically located opposite the Schengen motorway exit. As of summer 2017 it will be home to a Delhaize supermarket, 20 stores, services and a restaurant with terrace.

 

Luxembourg Capital is co-developer of the project with its partner Ikogest.

The Luxembourg Capital investment team is proud to announce the successful lease of the last remaining office space for Southlane Tower I in Belval. Above the rooftops of Belval, the Southlane Towers provide premium office as of 435 sqm, certified BREEAM - Very Good. 

 

Further office space will be available in Southlane Tower II & Southlane Tower III currently under construction. The next phase is expected to be delivered in Q4 2016.

The Term Sheet has been signed earlier this month and has been submitted to the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Body, CSSF for final approval.

Belval is home of the Luxembourg University Campus, the famous Rockhal and is the new centre of research, technology and business in the South of Luxembourg.

Southlane Tower I awarded BREEAM Certification

Southlane Tower I, has been awarded one of the highest BREEAM Scores issued so far in Luxembourg. The building is certified as Very Good with a score of 59.9 points.

 

This certifications is the proof, if any was really needed, that Luxembourg Capital has always been committed to the environment, creating buildings at the forefront of durable and sustainable construction.

 

BREEAM is the benchmark standard for durable construction. Created in 1990, BREEAM has historically been the leading environmental certification method. Today it is the most widely-used one in the world.
